• Food Entries: Food names, calorie and macronutrient values, dates, and timestamps that you log in the App.
• AI Inputs: Text descriptions and images you submit for AI-based food estimation.
• Contact Information: Name, email, and message content when you contact us through the Site.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and version.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the App (e.g., features used, frequency of use).
• Sync Data: Timestamps and metadata related to data synchronization between your device and our servers.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

• Barcode Data: When you scan a barcode, product information is retrieved from the Open Food Facts public database. We do not control the accuracy of this data.
• AI Providers: Text and image inputs may be processed by third-party AI services (e.g., OpenAI) to generate nutrition estimates. These providers have their own privacy policies.

We use the information we collect to:

• Local Storage: Food entries are stored locally on your device first (offline-first architecture).
• Cloud Sync: When you are signed in and online, data is synced to our cloud infrastructure (powered by Supabase) for backup and cross-device access.
• Security: We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and row-level security on our database. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

The Intake website (intake-online.com) does not use cookies or third-party tracking technologies. The App does not use advertising trackers.
